The Best Suppressor For Your Lever Gun Build
Tactical Lever Guns - you either love them, or you hate them. If you're in the latter camp, you probably haven't shot one, because they're damn fun.
The Lever gun is in the midst of a fascinating revival. Henry, Marlin, and Rossi are all making threaded barrel versions of their popular lever-action carbines. With companies like Ranger Point Precision dishing out a plethora of after-market parts, the American classic has been getting a modern-day facelift.
We recently sent a couple of Henry Big Boy X models out to the good folks over at Louthan Gunworks to work their magic, and we couldn't be happier with what they whipped up. The green model is chambered in .45-70, chopped down to 16" with a Ranger Point Precision rail, stock, and takedown screws custom engraved courtesy of Louthan. "Black Betty" is chambered in .357 mag with a ranger point precision rail and a custom leather butt stock cover from Fiddleback Outpost.
Now, let's talk cans. It's an absolute sin to run a gun like this without a suppressor. Throw .38 specials in Black Betty with a RAD 45 on the muzzle, and she kicks like a .22. The RAD 45 is a perfect suppressor for a lever gun build. You can go ultra-quiet or light and compact with two different length configurations. Then there's the versatility; lever guns are like all other guns, it's hard to own just one, and the RAD 45 is compatible with about every straight-wall cartridge these carbines are offered in.
We're entirely biased about which suppressor you should add to your next lever gun build, but honestly, the can kind of speaks for itself:
