ELK LOIN RECIPE
Ingredients:
- Elk Loin
- Olive Oil
- Maldon® Sea Salt
- Ground Pepper
Equipment:
- Broil King® Regal™ Pellet 500 Smoker & Grill
- Grill Tongs
- Cutting Board
- Chef Knife
Instructions:
- Season the meat generously with salt and pepper.
- Heat grill to 430°F/221°C with Hickory or Mesquite pellets.
- Cook for 4-5 minutes per side or until a perfect sear is achieved and the internal temperature is 130°F (medium-rare). Note: Elk is very lean compared to beef and will cook quickly—it is easy to overcook.
- Let the cooked steak rest for 5 minutes off the heat before slicing against the grain to serve.
