At the TORN Warriors Sniper Golf Invitational, the scorecard tracks performance. The people make the weekend matter.

Veterans come together to test their skills, work through demanding courses and spend time with others who share their experience. The competition gives them a common objective. The camaraderie carries beyond the range.

TORN Warriors creates opportunities for combat-wounded and disabled veterans to participate in adaptive extreme sports. Its events bring together people with different backgrounds and abilities around a shared appetite for challenge.

That mission is why HUXWRX stands with TORN Warriors. The veterans on this range are the people our work is built around, and the Sniper Golf Invitational shows what this partnership means to our team.

Participants compete in two-person teams across two nine-target courses. On the long-range Sniper Golf course, teams engage targets from varied shooting positions, with designated pars and a familiar objective: finish with the lowest score. The Giffy Challenge adds a medium-distance course through natural terrain that tests accuracy, adaptability and speed.

Both courses demand focus. Both reward teamwork. When an unfamiliar position or difficult stage tests a team, working through it becomes part of the experience.

Veterans who have lost limbs or sustained other life-changing injuries bring their skills and competitive drive to the course alongside fellow participants. Adaptive opportunities make room for those abilities. Everyone has a role in helping their team succeed.

What we admire most is how the event balances the two. It’s a competition, and winning matters. So does helping a teammate work through frustration, solve a problem or finish a difficult stage. Participants describe the satisfaction of seeing others overcome obstacles and sharing in that accomplishment.

Between stages and after the shooting ends, there is time to swap stories, build friendships and connect over experiences that do not always need explaining.

Some participants describe renewed energy and purpose. Others value sharing the weekend with family or meeting people they look forward to seeing again. Each brings a different reason for being there. Together, they make the event about far more than a final score.
