This multi-caliber blast deflector is constructed with 17-4 stainless steel and is compatible with all HUXWRX HX-QD Muzzle Brakes and Flash Hiders (up to .338). It was designed to redirect the blast forward protecting the shooter and bystanders from micro-concussions and overpressure. Additionally, it doubles as a thread protector for your muzzle device. It is ideal for shooting against cover and/or in the prone position. Similar to HUXWRX muzzle devices, the Blastphemy is coated with C-Series Cerakote for greater durability and corrosion resistance and is available in Black, FDE, & OD Green.
*This product is NOT compatible with the Bannar or Comp-STS muzzle devices.

Flashhider and Blastphemy Blast Deflector
Purchased 2 flashhiders and the Blastphemy deflector while waiting for my suppressor purchase to be approved. I've shot about 200 rounds thru it. It does work. I would go this route if you intend to get a suppressor. If not there are some direct thread products that are less expensive. I already have hearing damage from my military service so I shot a few rounds w/o hearing protection. I would not consider this device to be hearing safe but for occasional shots and or in a self defense situation it will lessen the effect on your hearing. Otherwise wear your earpro. There is a significant fireball you'll notice in lowlight conditions. Flashhider is well made and works fine but will raise a dust signature if used from the prone position. Hopefully none of you will end up in a firefight where that would matter anyway. The old A2 flashhider is still the best for that. The purpose of this flashhider is too be the quick detach mount for your suppressor or the Blastphemy anyway. I do use a little gun grease on the threads and unscrew the Blastphemy a couple turns after it cools off. No carbon lock issues. Flashhider does not need to be timed. If you go with the muzzle break you need to shim and time it. I have one of those on a rifle as well.

BLASTPHEMY FDE
I really like the blastphemy as a blast deflector, looks cool, works well, I like how I can just screw it on and it's good to use. Maybe if it was easier to get off when it's hot it would be perfect. It does make a big fireball in the dark which I think is cool, just use it without and just have the flash hider on its own if you don't want the fireball. Overall thought I love it.
